Kathrin Schafroth

Head of Sponsorship

Kathrin was born in Switzerland. She studied German and English Literature in Berlin. From 2002-2004 she was working for Berliner Festspiele. From 2008-2009 she was responsible for sponsorship at Temporäre Kunsthalle Berlin. Since 2005 she has been working in various positions for the Berlinale until she took over the sponsorship department in 2016.


About Berlinale
With more than 330.000 tickets sold for the 11 festival days, the Berlinale is the largest audience film festival in the world. Besides public funding sponsorhips play a key role in financing the festival. Together with our partners we work continuously to enable new innovative services as well as new incentives and influential formats for the festival. We are passionate in building bridges between the arts and the world of brands. Our goal is to foster a sustainable relationship at eye level and courage for change.
